Noreen Doherty qualified as a solicitor in 1997, having trained with Clifford Johnston. Prior to qualification Noreen had worked as an adviser with the Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
Throughout her professional career Noreen has undertaken a range of criminal cases, both in the Magistrates and Crown Courts. She is a criminal duty solicitor and has defended a range of cases including murder, kidnap and large scale drug matters. She has a special interest in representing mentally disordered offenders.

Patrick Harris is a partner at Clifford Johnston & Co. He trained at a city centre firm and qualified as a solicitor in 1994, joining Clifford Johnston shortly after qualification.
Throughout his professional life Patrick has specialized in criminal defence work. He has been a Duty Solicitor for many years and has Higher Court Advocacy rights. This means that he can and does represent clients at all stages of their cases from the initial police station interview through to representation at trial, should they be charged with an offence.

Philip Walsh is the Managing Partner of Clifford Johnston. He trained at a city centre firm in Manchester and qualified as a solicitor in 1994, joining Clifford Johnston shortly after qualification. He has, throughout his career, specialised in Personal Injury cases and Landlord and Tenant disputes.
Philip has considerable experience of all levels of accident claims from straight forward road traffic whiplash cases through to high value claims where claimants have been rendered disabled. Philip acts for many landlords responding to problem tenants and has many clients referred to him by other solicitors and landlord advisers.
In addition Philip undertakes general civil litigation work such as building and contractual disputes and civil claims against the police.

David Johnston qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and established the firm in 1984. He was formerly our Managing Partner and is now a Consultant with the firm.
David undertakes conveyancing work (both residential and commercial) and property work generally together with wills and probate and matrimonial cases.

Karen Rolls qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and joined Clifford Johnston from another well-regarded local firm in 2007.
Karen has specialized in criminal defence work for many years. She is a duty solicitor and spends much of her time representing clients both at the police station and in the Magistrates Court. Karen is an accomplished advocate and has a reputation for thorough case preparation.

Christopher practices across a wide area of work. He is an accredited police station representative.
