Wills
We at Clifford Johnston & Company offer a comprehensive service
for Wills Probate work with the exception of Wills requiring complex
and substantial Inheritance Tax Planning such as discretionary trusts.
We can advise on more straightforward Inheritance Tax issues. More complex
matters would be referred on to a more specialist department under the
Connect Legal Network of which we are a part.
Our fees for one normal straightforward Will are £100 plus VAT.
For two mutual Wills, for example, a married couple, we charge a total
of £150 plus VAT.
We would be pleased to arrange home or hospital visits locally to draw
your Will, but each such visit will require an additional payment of
£25 plus VAT. Normally, two such visits would be required meaning
an additional payment of £50 plus VAT.
We do reserve the right to charge a higher
figure if your Will or instructions are unusually complex or difficult.
However, you will be advised of this at our first interview and if you
decide not to proceed you will be charged a reduced fee of £50
plus VAT for the first interview.

Probate
It is impossible to give a reliable estimate
of final Probate fees in a general advertisement of this nature. However,
we do offer an initial interview of up to 30 minutes at a fixed fee
of £50 plus VAT at which the whole procedure can be discussed
and a more reliable written estimate given. This fixed fee initial interview
can also be used for, contentious cases, such as an initial discussion
about contesting a will; disputing entitlement or claims under the Inheritance
(Provision for Family & Dependents) Act.
