IMMIGRATION ADVICE AND REPRESENTATION

OUR IMMIGRATION FEES

We understand that the need for immigration advice can be stressful and confusing, our solicitors can support you through the immigration process. To help simplify the process and take away some of the stress, we offer a fixed fee service for some immigration applications. Some types of immigration work is not suitable for fixed fees, in such circumstances our experts can give fee estimates and charge at hourly rates.

Our expert solicitors consider your individual circumstances and offer confidential, advice tailored to your personal circumstances.

We cannot provide any guarantee with regards to the outcome of any application or appeal; we will provide you with the best advice that you can receive the maximise your prospects of success.

INITIAL ADVICE SERVICE: £250.00

What is involved?

Our solicitors will offer a face to face or telephone consultation to explore your immigration query for up to 45 minutes*, including your immigration history and your expectations. Our solicitors will then provide you with written confirmation of the advice provided.

CHECKING SERVICE: from £350.00

What is involved?

Once you have prepared your application, our solicitors will check your completed application form and the supporting documents which you have gathered together against your personal circumstances. They will advise you on any further documents which need to be submitted with your application so that you can ensure that you maximise the prospects of your application succeeding. With this service you will be able to lodge the application with the Home Office at a time suitable for you.

FULL APPLICATION SERVICE: from £250.00 – £1350.00

What is involved?

If you prefer to let an expert handle your application from start to finish, you can benefit from our full application service. Our expert solicitors will advise you on the application form, fees, complete relevant forms and advise on the supported documents needed to maximise the merits of your application succeeding. Our immigration specialists will also forward your application onto the home office

From £250.00:

Travel document applications, request for change of name on documents.

From £800.00:

NTL applications, Visit Visas, Applications for Students, Naturalisation applications, Applications for Registration, Family Reunion applications, applications for EEA nationals.

From £1200.00:

Points based applications (Tier 4), applications for settlement after 6 years DLR or 10 years’ continuous lawful residence, applications for family members of EEA nationals

From £1350.00:

Partner applications, (including spouse, fiancé, civil partner and same-sex partner applications), Points Based applications (Tiers 1,2 and 5), Applications for settlement (10-year route), human rights and outside the rules applications, Surinder Singh applications.

APPEALS and ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW: from £300.00 – £1500.00

What is involved?

If you have received a refusal decision and you need to appeal to the First Tier Tribunal, our solicitors can guide and support you through the process. Appeals are often subject to short time limits and ensuring that the court has the correct evidence can increase your prospects of success.

Our solicitors can undertake tailored work on an hourly rates basis where appropriate. A fee quote will be given once the work required has been explained.

Figures quoted above are for single applicants only. Dependant family members will attract additional fees per applicant.

Fixed fees must be paid in full and before any application is submitted to the Home Office.

Prices do not include VAT, Home Office and visa application fees, Immigration and Asylum Chamber fees, barrister fees, interpreter or translation fees or other independent expert fees.

Fixed fees are not appropriate for all types of immigration applications and appeals and Clifford Johnston Solicitors reserves the right to charge for work on an hourly-rates basis where appropriate.

Applications lodged with reference to the home office premium service attract a surcharge of £500.00.

 

MOTORING OFFENCES

We deal with a wide range of road traffic offences, many of which fall outside the scope of legal aid funding.

Our solicitors charge an hourly rate for summary only road traffic offences as set out below. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

Partner & Senior Solicitors: £200
Solicitor: £150
Non-qualified: £75

In some cases, we will be able to offer a fixed fee.  If your case is suitable for a fixed fee, our fess for summary only driving offences are:

Guilty plea – Attendance at a single hearing with a guilty plea and mitigation, our fixed fee is between £500 – £750 plus vat.  This increases to £750 – £1000 plus vat where the Court is 30 minutes, but less than an hour, away from our nearest office.   Any subsequent hearings will be charged at our hourly rates albeit we may be able to offer a further fixed fee.

Not Guilty plea – £1500 – £1750 plus vat. This increases to £1750 – £2000 plus vat where the Court is 30 minutes, but less than an hour, away from our nearest office.   This does not include disbursements such as expert reports which may cost between £500 – £1500 plus vat depending on the nature of the case and the issues that needs addressing. All not guilty plea estimates are based on the matter concluding after representation at court where the hearing has been designated for a trial listed for one day. We offer fixed fees wherever possible but from time to time we may have to operate an hourly rate ranging from £75 per hour to £200 per hour. Fixed fees include taking statements from, and examination of witnesses.  Any subsequent hearings will be charged at our hourly rates albeit we may be able to offer a further fixed fee.

 

CONVEYANCING (RESIDENTIAL)

£650 – £1000 plus vat plus any third party expenses. The fee will depend on the value of the property and whether it is freehold or leasehold and whether there are any special or unusual issues with the property. If the value of the property exceeds £800,000, we will provide you with a bespoke quote.

Purchase from £775 – £1,500 plus vat plus third party expenses and disbursements. Our fee will depend on whether the property is freehold or leasehold and whether there are any complicating factors.

Right to buy £550 plus vat plus any third party expenses.

If the property is unregistered with the Land Registry then it is likely to be more complicated and involve additional work which we can discuss and advise you on once we know the extent of the title.

 

WILLS

£300 plus vat for a single Will.

£500 plus vat for Wills for a couple.

These are for basic Wills and if your estate is complicated or your wishes are particularly complex then we will discuss a fee estimate with you.

 

PROBATE (UNCONTESTED)

Obtaining the Grant of Probate only £700 plus vat plus the Grant of Probate Court fee. This service is only for obtaining the Grant of Probate and not for administering the estate.

Probate work, including administering the estate, from £2000 plus vat plus third party expenses and the cost will depend on the complexity and value of the estate and Inheritance Tax position.
