Shane is a consultant solicitor with the firm and has practiced for over 20 years in the law as it applies to families, giving him a wealth of both legal knowledge and practical experience.

Shane is an expert in the law relating to relationships; from Cohabitation Agreements or Prenuptial Agreements to property rights upon separation and divorce and the division of matrimonial assets, as well as all aspects of disputes relating to the children including where they should live and defining the time they should spend with each parent.

Shane also specialises in the Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney that all families should have, as well as in the planning and managing of estates, working closely with a team including a trusted Independent Financial Advisor and Accountants where required to provide a bespoke package for each client’s needs.  Shane also specialises in assisting families after the death of a loved one with the process of seeking Probate or Letters of Administration and reporting on Inheritance Tax, as well as the efficient administration of the estate, including any variations to the Will that may be required.

Shane is a former chair of the Stockport Law Society and is the current chair of the Four Heatons Traders Group and is a Dementia champion.

Shane is a regular guest speaker on issues of law for Signpost which is a charity supporting those who care for their loved ones who are living with dementia.
